Import an existing course

Already have a finished course as a PowerPoint, Word, PDF, Prezi export, or images? Import it and Nalanda maps the slides, instructor notes, and MCQs into an editable draft.

Summary

If you already have a complete course, you do not have to rebuild it. Import a PowerPoint, Word, PDF, Prezi export, image, or Markdown file and Nalanda extracts the slides, speaker notes, and MCQs into an editable draft. Everything lands as DRAFT for your review.

Before you start

  • Have the primary content file ready. For Prezi, export to PDF or PPTX first.
  • Legacy .ppt / .doc are not supported directly - save them as .pptx / .docx.
  • Downloadable tools (Excel workbooks, PDFs) are attached separately - see the linked article.

Steps

  1. Instructor -> Import a course.
  2. Upload the primary file. Nalanda extracts titles, body text, speaker notes, media, and any MCQs.
  3. Choose whether to keep original wording (default) or let Nalanda recast it to a presentation model.
  4. Review the drafted course in the pages and MCQ builders. Confirm each MCQ answer key before it can go live.

Notes & tips

  • Nalanda may reformat content into its slide structure. Each slide keeps its original extracted text, so you can revert a slide to as supplied.
  • Run a fact-check over the imported material before you teach it.
